Terms of Use

Relax, I don’t speak legalese.

These are the simple rules of working with me, Bobvalla Lesly, through my portfolio site bobvalla.dev. They’re here to protect both of us and make sure projects run smoothly.

1. The Services

When you hire me, I’ll provide the services we’ve agreed on in writing (usually by email or proposal). I’ll do my best to deliver quality work and exceed your expectations. But this is a collaboration — your timely feedback and information are key.

Revisions are included as agreed, but if you ask for work outside the original scope, I’ll let you know the extra cost before proceeding.

2. Payment

  • For web design or development projects, I require 50% upfront before starting. This is non-refundable. The remaining 50% is due before final delivery.

  • For ongoing services (like hosting or support), payment is due monthly in advance. If you don’t pay on time, I may pause or remove the service until payment is received.

  • You own the final work only after full payment has been made.

3. My Responsibilities

I’ll:

  • Provide quality work based on what we agreed.

  • Keep you updated and respond within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Use reliable third-party tools and services, but I’m not responsible if those services have issues.

4. Your Responsibilities

You’ll:

  • Provide accurate content and materials you have the right to use.

  • Respond to requests and approvals on time.

  • Take care of your own backups and site security unless we’ve agreed otherwise.

If you disappear or don’t respond for too long, I may reschedule or pause the project.

5. Ownership

  • Anything you give me (text, logos, images, etc.) stays yours.

  • The tools, skills, and methods I use stay mine.

  • Once final payment is made, you own the completed website deliverables.

6. Confidentiality

If we share private information during a project, we both agree to keep it safe and not share it without permission.

7. Disclaimers

I’ll always aim for high-quality work, but I can’t promise perfection or guarantee results like traffic, sales, or search rankings. I’m also not responsible for issues caused by third-party providers (like hosting, plugins, or payment processors).

8. Ending Our Work Together

Either of us can end the agreement with written notice. You’ll need to pay for any work completed up to that point. No refunds are given for work already done or payments made.

9. Disputes

If we ever disagree, let’s try to resolve it directly first. If that doesn’t work, the laws of Cameroon will apply.

10. General

  • I may showcase the project in my portfolio unless you request otherwise.

  • I’m an independent freelancer, not your employee.

  • By working with me, you agree to these simple terms.
