Lessons, Wins, and Big Dreams Ahead..
October is at the corner.
Only two months are left before we step into 2026.
This is the time of the year when I like to slow down, look back, and ask myself: how has this year really been?
The truth is, 2025 has been a year full of learning, challenges, and growth.
Some days were frustrating, some projects stretched me more than I expected, but overall it has been a good ride.
When I started designing websites,
I thought it was just about making pages look nice.
I quickly learned it’s much more.
Strategy, user experience, SEO, and storytelling all matter.
This year taught me that a website is not just design.
It is about creating something that actually works for the client.
A site that brings customers, gets inquiries, and helps a business grow.
That was one of my biggest aha moments in 2025.
I had to improve my skills constantly.
Some projects forced me to learn new tools on the go.
Others pushed me to manage time better and communicate more clearly with clients.
It was not always easy, but it made me better.
Looking back, here are some highlights from this year:
This year reminded me how important community is, both inside and outside my industry.
I connected with other developers and mentors, shared experiences, and asked for help whenever I got stuck.
At the same time, I also connected with virtual assistants, social media managers, graphic designers, and lots of interesting people on LinkedIn, X, and Facebook.
From these connections, I learned one or two new things that improved how I work and think about web development.
I also noticed something important about clients. Most don’t care about the technical side of a website.
They care about results. They want to know if the site will bring in more customers, more students, or more sales.
Understanding this helped me shift the way I explain my work and focus on creating real value.
SEO was another big lesson this year. Before, I thought it was just an add-on.
But I now see it as the core of making a website succeed.
A nice-looking site without visibility is useless.
By focusing on keywords like WordPress web designer in Cameroon and web design Buea, I started seeing clear results.
People began contacting me directly from search engines.
And the best part is, these clients already understood the value of a website. They came ready to work.
That was another aha moment for me: SEO is not just about ranking, it’s about trust.
If people can find you on Google, they already believe you are serious.
There are still three months left before 2026, and I plan to make the most of them. My goals are simple:
Finish my current projects well.
Keep improving my own website and SEO rankings.
Try new creative ideas for clients that combine design and storytelling.
Looking further into 2026, I want to compete with bigger agencies, build more advanced WordPress solutions, and help even more businesses in Cameroon grow online.
To every client I worked with in 2025, thank you.
To the friends, mentors, and fellow developers who shared knowledge with me, I’m grateful.
To the virtual assistants, social media managers, graphic designers, and all the amazing people I connected with on LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, thank you as well.
I learned one or two things from many of you that made me better at what I do.
This year reminded me why I love web development.
It is not always easy, but when a client tells you their business grew because of a site you built, it makes all the late nights, challenges, and hard work feel worth it.
2025 is not yet over, but it has already been a turning point in my journey as a web developer in Cameroon.
I learned that web design is not just about looks.
It is about strategy, results, and solving problems.
The biggest lesson is this: growth comes when you show up, do the work, and keep improving.
Here’s to finishing 2025 strong and stepping into 2026 with bigger dreams.
